Boutwell Farms sells both Custom Harvested and Retail farm products.   Custom Harvest is when farm products are pre-ordered and processed to the customers specifications.  Retail is when individual cuts of meat are purchased as needed (when available).   Every family situation is different.  We encourage Custom Harvest as the best choice when possible.  (Ask about our Custom Harvest Layaway plan to help your budget adjust to buying food in bulk.)

Shop less often and save yourself from buying all those things that weren't on the list.   Fewer shopping trips means less money spent.   Every time we walk into a store, we spend more than we would if were not out shopping.  Retail food establishments know this.  The more times they can get the customer in the door, the more opportunity there is to put other things in the cart.  Having meat at home in the freezer will help keep you out of the stores.
